Cement based mortar is an indispensable and important part of the construction industry. HPMC, as a chemical cellulose thickener additive, it can improve the construction performance, spraying and pumping performance of the mortar; thickening ability can improve the wetting ability of the wet mortar to the substrate, also increase the bonding strength of the mortar, time adjustment and shrinkage resistance; HPMC can make the cement hydrated more complete, thereby improving structural strength.

Ordinary mortar has high economic requirements, but its operational performance and mechanical spraying performance are still high standard. Therefore, the chemical additive HPMC are very important. Mechanical application will become an inevitable trend in the development of ready-mixed mortar, and cellulose ether will make mechanical application possible
1. HPMC is easy to use in dry mix cement; due to HPMC has cold water solubility: lump formation can be easily avoided, ideal for heavy bricks.
2. Hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose offers better water retention: prevention of fluid loss to the substrates, the appropriate water content is kept in mixture which guarantees longer concreting time.
3. Stable water demand: increase open time, expand spry area and more economical formulation.
4. Cement hydration is more complete for better bond strength and structure
Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose is a natural polymer cellulose as construction chemical additive raw material, after a series of chemical processing, we make the refined cotton into a non-ionic cellulose ether. They are an odorless, tasteless non-toxic white powder in cold water swelling into a clear or slightly muddy colloid solution. A thickening, binding, dispersing, emulsifying, film, suspension, adsorption, gel, surface activity, such as maintaining water and protective colloid properties. It is widely used in Cement based products: Tile adhesive, Cement plaster, Skim coat, Wall Putty, Self-leveling mortar, Masonry Mortar, Waterproofing mortar; Gypsum Based product: Gypsum filler/joint filler, Daily Chemical and so on.

While is classified as a non-hazardous material, the following should be taken notice of in order to avoid unexpected accidents when handling:
Storage: Please store bags in cool and dry places. Otherwise, products will tend to be affected by air humidity. To avoid explosion due to dust, store aware from heats, sparks and fires, and do not expose it directly to high temperatures.
Handling: Solutions of HYDROXYPROPYL METHYL CELLULOSE are very slippery. To avoid any accidents, sweep the spilled powder and keep dry.
Health: Use appropriate procedures to avoid direct contact such as the skin or eyes and prevent any inhalation of the product.
